Have you ever been to Barcelona?

The largest city in Spain, Barcelona is an European capital of art, with architectural works ranging from Roman to Modernists. Barcelona is the capital of the region of Catalonia and is one of the best prepared cities for tourism, activity that they do wonderfully. It is a lively city, in every corner there is art, entertainment, music, passion, the delicious tapas, and will make you fall in love, (in case you haven't yet) with Spain.

The nightlife is also very strong, and here diversity is celebrated. Although Barcelona has many excellent museums such as the Picasso Museum and Fundacion Joan Miró, or MUHBA, the art and the history of the city can also be found on the streets. The huge Sagrada Familia church, Guell park and other corners marked below are very important for you to know during your trip to Barcelona.

Best Things To Do in Barcelona

1 - La Sagrada Família

The Expiatory Temple of the Holy Family, or just Holy Family, is the largest Roman Catholic church in the world, and has not yet been completed. The artist and architect Antonio Gaudí was mainly responsible for its design and the Spanish people, since 1882, await the completion of the project. The church mixes neo-Gothic and surreal architectural styles, and forms a work like no other has ever been seen.

2 - Park Güell

One of the best known works by Antonio Gaudí, the park Güell contains elements of modern art in the midst of nature. First planned as a select condominium with several houses designed by the artist, the park was not a success, and only 2 houses were built, a residence of Gaudí himself. Since 1984 it is a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and one of the most visited destinations in Barcelona.

3 - Boat Trips in Barcelona

One of the best and most sought after ways to get to know cosmopolitan Barcelona is by the beautiful coast. Every day there are boat trips of all kinds, in groups, private parties, for romantic parties or meetings, more economical or more expensive. During the summer it can be the highlight of your vacation, and believe me, the Spaniards know how to throw a fiesta. Enjoy the sun of Spain and eat tapas over the blue sea.

4 - Gothic Quarter

The charming gothic quarter of Barcelona, or Barri Gòtic, enchants all visitors who walk through narrow stone streets, surrounded by medieval architecture. This area boasts a wide variety of trendy bars and restaurants, serving both Spanish, with their habit of eating out, and curious tourists. Street vendors join the hills around the Barcelona Cathedral, alongside Roman ruins and bustling avenues.

5 - Casa Batlló

Casa Batlló is beautiful builing, designed by the famous architect Antonio Gaudi in 1904 on a remodeltion of a building. Located right in the center of Barcelona, it is a modern masterpiece and deserves a visit from any visitor in the city.

6 - Casa Milà

Also known among the locals as La Pedrera, Casa Milà is a modernist building that was remodeled and designed by the architect Antonio Gaudi. Gaudí liked his creation so much that he made the building his private residence for the last years of his life.

7 - Casa Amatller

This wonderful modern building, the Casa Amatller in Puig i Cadafalch, is a masterpiece of contemporary architecture by Antonio Gaudí. The house combines neogothic style with the typical Dutch facades.

With a 360º view of the city of Barcelona, the Castell de Montjuïc is a military fortress built in 1640 and attracts many visitors every year.
