The day starts with visiting the old part of Funchal and then the very colorful city market, presenting all the exotic flowers, fruits, and vegetables Madeira has to offer.

Continuing the tour you will head to an embroidery factory where all stages of this handicraft work can be seen. Next on the list is a visit to a wine cellar for a Madeira wine tasting.

The last part of the tour is dedicated to the botanical gardens, once the property of the Reid’s family. The 80.000 square meters are divided in 6 areas. This beautiful garden exhibits a collection of trees from all over the globe, endangered plants, as well as a vast collection of palm trees. Here can also be found around 300 exotic birds.
