Private 2-Day Tour To Sintra, Cascais, Fátima, Óbidos & Nazaré

For both days, begin your tour at 09:00 with a hotel pick-up (or at a central meeting point) by your friendly guide. Enjoy the scenery in an air-conditioned minivan as you head to Fátima, approximately 1-hour away from Lisbon. It’s the religious capital of Portugal, where you will visit both the old and new sanctuaries and Sanctuary Square.

Next, you will go to Monastery of Batalha, elected one of the seven wonders of Portugal and a UNESCO World Heritage site, it’s one of the best examples of Gothic architecture in the country. As your journey continues to Nazaré, host to some of the most beautiful beaches on the Portuguese coast and a fishermen villa that holds the record for the world’s largest wave that was ever surfed. Here, you will break for lunch, perhaps choosing from one of the many tasty seafood restaurants (not included).

Continue your travels towards the historic village of Óbidos, situated inside the ancient medieval fortress walls. Its narrow streets, white-painted houses are a vision not to be missed. Before leaving Óbidos, enjoy a sample of Ginginha, a cherry liquor sipped from a chocolate cup. Take in the picturesque coastline as you head back to Lisbon, arriving at approximately 18:00.

For the next day, you will be picked up from the same location and head to Cascais, where you will walk around the scenic fishing village and bask in the narrow alleys and see the stunning beaches and relaxing shores.

Get sweeping ocean views from Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of Europe, “where the land ends and sea begins.” Get your camera ready because Cabo da Roca is a real-life postcard and Sintra, the villa where all the monuments have majestic architecture full of stories and unraveling mysteries, stunning gardens, centenary trees and ancient castles, will await you.

You will then be taken through the historic center where you will see traditional narrow Portuguese streets and take pictures of the medieval National Sintra Palace and its iconic chimneys. The Quinta da Regaleira, one of the most romantic places on the planet, is a place with its surrounding towers, enigmatic grottoes and countless mysteries for you to discover.

If you desire to enter, you will be waited for at the entrance (ticket and entrance fees not included). You will then be driven back to the top of the hill to see Castelo dos Mouros and Pena Palace, an extravagant palace built on top of the mountain dominating the whole of the coastline will truly be an image from a fairy tale.

At the end of the day of guaranteed adventures, you’ll be dropped back off at the place you initially met. Oh but before you return, have a taste and experience of Sintra’s best delicacies.
